This is how I've spent the whole week. Either with a cone on my head or using mom as a pillow. I wish my eye would feel better. I'm pretty sure if the moms would let me rub it on the couch and stop, it would feel better.We went to the vet again today. He said my eye is not infected, but it is not better yet. He gave me new medicine to keep the infection away and to keep my eye from hurting.
I have to go to an eye specialist next week if it doesn't get better. Here's hoping...
Meanwhile, mom has gone to get me a clear cone in the hopes that it will be better for me than the white cone. She thinks that if I can see, I will not freak out as much. I am skeptical.
Also, mom has to go back to work tomorrow, so I will have no lap to rest in - that means more cone.
So far 2007 is not my favorite year, but mom assures me they will get me well and we'll have a great 2007. I hope you have a great year, too.

Sorry to hear about your eye, Cubby--that's no fun at all. I hope the clear lampshade works better. My people used a "Bite-Not" collar on Hamish and Rafe when they recently lost their testicles--it seemed to work pretty well, but I'm not sure if it would work for an eye problem.
I'll wish you a belated New Year for when you can be happy about it.

Maybe if you had lots of holes in the cone it would feel better! Then all the airs could get through. Hope you feel better soon, Cubby!

Poor Cubby. You know what our mom says? If the year starts out bad, it will be a really good year!! We had a REALLY bad begining of the year in '06 but a great year! We even started blogging! I think you will feel better in no time!!
