Generous Blogging Dogs!

I am so happy that you guys are so supportive. Several of my wonderful blogging buddies have been generous enough to make donations to Legacy Boxer Rescue to help us support six beautiful puppies.

The puppies are four days old now. Their mom, Gidget, a very skinny and very pregnant boxer, was dumped at the shelter by her owner. Kathy, a wonderful LBR volunteer, brought her home the same day. That very night, she had six beautiful puppies.

I asked you for support, and you came through! These are the bloggers that gave donations, that I am aware of. If I leave you out, please let me know!

It's amazing how dogs and dog lovers from all over the world are coming together to help these little helpless babies! If you would like to donate also, you can do that using Paypal here.

For those of you asking how I'm doing, thanks for your concern. My eye is feeling better. I'm still in the cone so far (the moms are being over-protective). Today I got to take a little nap out of the cone, though. Here's proof...

Hey Cubby
It is great to hear that you are doing so well and that you got to spend a little time out of your cone.
Myself and MY hoomans hope that there will
be more time OUT of the cone than in for you.

Dear Cubby

I'm sorry to hear about your eye. I hope your eye will be fixed very soon.

It is great you and your family help your breed. It is so very sad what happens to too many dogs now. Humans have a lot to answer for.

I'm sorry I have not talked much. My mum has been very busy these last 2 months but she is trying to make time to help me type my blog messages.

I really hope your eye is fully better very soon.

Love from your friend, Hammer

Hi Cubby,

Anytime a critter needs assistance, Mummy and I are ready to help!

Good luck with your eye. I had to go to a veterinary ophthalmologist when I was a puppy too. I have underdeveloped optic nerves so my vision isn't so great. Kind of silly for a sight hound, huh?

Woofs,

Finnegan

Hey Cubby, we didnt realise how thin Gidget is until we saw this photo. It brings tears to our eyes. Sorry that we are so emotional about it. We hope that she is doing better and the puppies too.

Our Papa dont normally read others blog except ours and we really thought that he need to look at Gidget and the puppies photo so we showed him the moment he came back from work. And Papa agreed to give some support too without cutting our allowances. Yeah!

The amount is little but we really want to help Gidget and her babies.

Love

Poor babies, poor mother and poor Cubby. I hope your eye turns out all right so you can get rid of that awful cone. Nick used to bang us on the legs with his. Maybe you could try that

Hey Cubby! We've been, um, kinda preoccupied after our chocolate feast (NOT a good idea, dogs!) so we're just now catching up on everybody's posts... we just coerced dogmom (not really) to make a donation. We wuf boxer puppies! (Well, actually, Gomer's a fraidy-dog when it comes to boxers... but he's working on that)... Wuf Ya! - Gomer & Opie at dogsayeview

Hey Cubster!

Wow, I've missed out on so much while I've been lazily not blogging. PUPPIES?! Heh heh.. maybe if your Mums bring Gidget home, you can play Daddy.. *wiggles eyebrows*
Alas, I have no money myself.. but, I would donate many a milkbone if I could because it looks like Gidget could use a couple. However, I know a certain MUM who is a sucker for puppies in need.. and she has shot a small donation your way. Hopefully it helps a bit! We both love what you're doing for rescue boxers.

On the other hand, not so much luck with that eye eh, buddy? The cone is indeed evil.. but remember like I've repeatedly said, it makes a great chew toy if you can turn your head to the right angle!
Keep on keepin' on!

Cheerio,
Dudley
