Dakota was not thrilled. She didn't mind the shots, but that lifting scale/table was not her friend. She did not want to get on the table, and since mom was hurt still (sorry for the bunny incident, mom), the vet tech had to "encourage" her to get on the table. She is not very fond of strangers, so she didn't like that.
She also didn't like being flipped on her side by the vet. Dr. Wright said, "It's a good thing you're not a mule, cause I'd be in trouble." That was because Dakota was kicking him in the belly to push him away.
On the way home, they passed a park where the GOOD dog owners were walking their fuzzy friends, rather than taking them to the vet. Dakota wished she was out there (there's a big pond, too).
When they got home, Magoo felt sorry for Dakota, so he helped her feel better by biting her neck and face,
and sleeping on her big fluffy tail. He usually just bites her tail, but yesterday was special.
He also followed her around and helped her guard the house. She loves barking just to make Magoo bark. Silly dogs. I save my barking for bunnies and squirrels!

Awww. My guys love going to the vet. It's like super happy puppy time. And it's not like they haven't had bad things done there...Shadow has had skin stuff removed under local from his belly. So he totally remembers that. Maybe it's a cocker thing. Baby always enjoys taking a blind snap at his vet. He's 18 and sort of senile. Fat Buddy tore their Christmas tree down one year trying to mug it of the dog bone decorations.
Yes...Friend Scott is a hoot. I write about him a good bit.
I am glad Dakota is doing well! And that was nice of Mr. Magoo to sleep on her tail.
We're glad Dakota is feeling ok even though it took a trip to the vet. We think a weekend dog park trip is in order!

Oh, no, I just had to go to the vet last month. I got lots of needles AND my nails trimmed.
awwwwwwwwww Magoo is being such a good helper sticking close by! Treats for both of you!
Love ya lots,
Maggie
What a bad bad day for Dakota! I am glad magoo was trying to be helpful, er whatever he was doing! haha
Mommy doesn't want me to sound totally creepy but your vet is really close to the place we just moved! Is it fun out here? I sure hope so!!

Poor Dakota, luckily she got all the smoochie & company from Magoo. Magoo sure is a sweety pie.
I'm glad the vet trip was just a check up.
Simba xx
there are nice people at the vet hehe :)
CUSSS they give you food ;)
My sympathies to Dakota, any trip to the vet is awful. My brother Duncan has been making a lot of visits recently. His ear flap keeps swelling up. Yuck. Then he had to get his shots!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I just wanted to tell you that I am incredibly fast. Nothing but a black blurr...even though my Mom says I'm too cute to be scary and the birds didn't fly away from me. I think not.
cheers
Maxey
