Guest Post - Meet Frida

Thanks, Cubby, for letting me use your blog!

I am training for the Summer 2008 Olympics! Nadia Comaneci, look out!

My name is Frida, and I am a very flexible girl, as you can see from my photo below. I am training to be a champion gymnast, and floor exercises are my specialty! I am about 1 year old, so my joints and muscles are at their peak performance.

I have a happy outlook on life even though I was in a shelter for over a month. I didn't let that get me down, and I don't hold any grudges. As a matter of fact, I came out flying and tumbling. My foster Mom and Dad think I am pretty funny with all of my youngster ways.

They keep telling me that I need some training (Bela, where are you when I need you?) My foster Mommy and Daddy are qualified enough I guess, and I will sit for treats, but I would rather be doing somersaults. They'll keep working on the commands they think are important, but I sure would love to go through training with my forever family. They say it's a bonding experience.

I am still learning my manners. I just arrived to my new "training" facility (or foster home as I keep hearing). I sleep well in my new quarters--I think I heard my foster parents call it a crate. I didn't like it at first, but as long as I can see everyone, I am fine.

I like my other four "roomies." They are so nice to me. Man, the two boxers are kind of fat and out of shape (shhhh..don' t tell them I said that). They could use some of my gymnastic training! I am still learning how to walk around the dachshunds here. Sometimes I get tripped up with my long legs and step on one of them.

After my training is complete, I will be looking for a permanent home and I promise you will enjoy the routines that I have worked so hard to perfect. You will give me perfect 10s. In fact, my foster mom says she thinks you'll flip for me!

If you think you would like to adopt me, please fill out an application at Legacy Boxer Rescue.

Have a great weekend!

Are you sure you're not related to Houdini Frida? I don't think I'll ever match those gymnastical moves with my old bones and joints!

Here's hoping you find an excellent foreve home fast.

Toodle pip,
