Poor Injured Boxers

I'm not sure how so many boxer statues get injured, but we have lots of boxers with bandages and tears. They are very cute and sad. We also have a miniature set of three poor injured boxers. I think this one has bumped his head.

The other two got their poor little ears cropped (ouchie)! The floppy ears are so soft and cute.

And if you really want the ears to stick up, you can just grab them and point them in the air for a minute, like this.

My mom does this all the time, when she's not smooshing my jowls or kissing my face.

I still love her. Usually.

When Buddha was younger and was in the one ear up and one ear down stage, a woman at the dog park recommended that I use 3M carpet tape to get both of them to stand up. Evidently, this is a common technique used for German Shepherds. She stressed that I must go home and do this right way or his one ear might never "stand up right." Well, I loved his ears when they were folded and curled to the side, when they were lop-eared, when one stood up and the other didn't, and now I love them when they both stand up right. Whatever nature intended is fine with me. No 3M carpet tape ever touched Buddha's head.

What we don't endure for our people. You must really love your mom to let her smoosh your jowls like that (and take a picture!)

DUDe you're cute just the way you are.

My mom messes with my face too, but she says she does it out of love.

Hi Cubby .. well I'm one Boxer whose ears got cropped but my Mama had no idea the breeder was going to do it and she found me with a styrophome cup on my head and my ears bandaged to it! You can't imagine how undignified I looked, and it really didn't feel so good. Broke Mama's heart..but anyway here I am but you know what, you are cutiepie and I love your blog. Come visit mine too some time.
xoxo Love, Chef

Ya know, the last time at the vet she asked when we were gonna crop Reilly's ears...the lady about fell down, she said "Why would I do that, there's no medical reason to do it, and I love his floppy ears!" So no cropped ears, which makes me happy cause when we wrestel I can really grab 'em by the ears.
