The Story of a Boxer

Meet Choo Choo. He is a very handsome white boxer, who was down on his luck until Legacy Boxer Rescue found him in a shelter. Kristen stepped up to foster him. After getting him healthy, Choo Choo found his forever family this weekend. Yeah!

But last week, Choo's story was quite different. It was a story many of us have witnessed before.

Kristen came home to this.

Uh oh. Everyone recognizes this face, right? Molly, Choo's foster sister knows that trouble lurks in the house.

With dread, Kristen walks into the kitchen.

Disaster! Was there a home invasion? A tornado? A raccoon perhaps?

But then, who walks around the corner? Choo. How did he get out of his crate?

Choo surveys the wreckage. "What do you suppose happened in here?", he says...

The suspects...

Choo proclaims his innocence, even as Kristen accuses him of the terrible deed. "I'm sure I don't know what happened. It must have been a raccoon, mom. How could you think I would do such a thing?"

A further review of the evidence reveals that the culprit was no raccoon...

Convicted!

...but very sorry. Poor babies.

Congratulations on your adoption, Choo Choo. Thanks for putting up with him, Kristen.

Very cute story! How are you enjoying your summer break with your mom?

Oh, my god! There'd be some yelling of foul words if that happened in my house! The air would be blue.

Must have been something tasty-smelling in that garbage can. I hope the liquor bottle on the floor didn't break.

As a boxer owner for over 20 years, I have SEEN that face before!!! I place my bets on "the boxer did it"...LOL. Now we are retired and are raising a new boxer, she's 6 months old now and has NEVER done anything like that, but only because we are here like 24/7....plus the other two tattle on her.

I'm going with the raccoon story, all the way!! Glad that Choo Choo has found his forever home (hopefully the raccoons won't follow him there).

What a spectacular mess!! We hope Choo Choo's new parents aren't neat freaks!

ps...the paw prints just prove that Choo Choo was being a great guard dog, and carried the raccoon out of the house.
