Some of you might remember a few months ago when a buzzard got fried on a power line right in front of us while we were walking. We were all amazed that Dakota did not develop a new phobia, considering she is afraid of everything from thunder, to Amber Alerts, to trucks.
Well, we discovered on our walk today, that she did in fact develop a phobia that day. Wanna guess?
It seems that the loony is now afraid of big birds flying overhead. On our walk today, there were some crows flying around and cawing, and Dakota refused to walk toward them. She dug her little feet in, and looked at the birds like they were demons coming to get her!
You should have seen her crazy eyes! And this is the very reason we can't get one of those adorable little puppies. The moms say they don't need an innocent puppy to learn Dakota's freakiness. Darn that Dakota!

Poor Dakota. It is hard to live with all those fears. Pretty soon you will be lucky to get her out of the house. A puppy would probably be good therapy for her.
Maybe she is afraid of being crapped on??
Stopping by to say hello to all my DWB friends after the weekend. Hope you are all well.

hi. I just found your blog and was hoping it would be ok if I link mine to yours?
oh poor dakota. I agree with joe though that is something to be afraid of.
Gotta admit, big birds flying overhead make me nervous too. Must have been a mouse caught by a hawk in my last life. ;)
Don't make fun of Dakota. Our girl is afraid of birds too. Sometimes when she is driving the car and a shadow of a bird goes over us, she ducks!
