Little Buttercup

To me, this picture says all that needs to be said about why my moms do rescue. Buttercup is a four month old boxer. She weighs half of what she should. She has mange. Can you think of an excuse for a puppy to be so skinny? Can you imagine how her owners can live with themselves? Can you imagine how anyone could turn their back on such a sight?

The volunteers at Legacy Boxer Rescue, and all of the rescuers out there, whether they work with an organization or not, are the good guys.

I am alive today because rescuers cared.
Buttercup is alive because rescuers cared.
Many of you, my blogging friends, are here because rescuers cared.

It's life or death out there. Please donate or volunteer to help Legacy Boxer Rescue or your local rescue of choice.

And if you live in Texas, you could even adopt Buttercup to be your best friend. You know you want to! Get your adoption process started now!

Oh Cubby, that poor little Buttercup! She reminds me of myself when I was rescued. I was starving too. Now I am fat and healthy and very loved. I'm so happy for all the dogs who are lucky enough to find such great rescuers like your mom and mine too!

That poor sweet dog!! Well, she's in good hands now. I was a rescue dog too, so appreciate everything they do.

That sure shows what rotten critters people can be. Our Tansy came from rescue. She was in pretty good physical shape given that she'd hardly ever had any vet care (and was HW- even without preventative), but she's a lot of mental demons to overcome.

My moms did rescue for a while and one of them was the "incoming" person--the shelters were hard to deal with 'cause it was so sad, but the owners were the hardest because she had to be nice to them when she wanted to kick them in the teeth.

Before we got to be such a big pack, we had 11 foster dogs--I taught them how to respect a princess.

Give your moms some licks just for being helping so many pups
