Inside Dude's House

We spent about half the day yesterday inside Dude's house. Dakota loves to steal from Dude's neverending feeder. She doesn't understand why she can't have a neverending feeder. I mentioned the fact that she she would soon weigh 300 pounds, but she ignores me. Dakota also enjoyed trying to steal the toilet paper (the bathroom doors at our house are closed). She loves Dude's house and want to move there.

We had a very good time with Dude, especially when we were messing with mom. First, Dude and I barked out the front window and made mom get up and look outside. Nobody was out there.

Then Dude and Dakota barked out the front window, and made mom get up and check outside. Still nobody there.

Finally, all three of us barked out the front window, making mom get up and look outside. Still nobody there. Then mom saw something move out there.

Can you see what it was? Mom was mad that she had to get up repeatedly, but it's good for her. And it makes us laugh. Once mom saw it, we stopped barking at the little furry. The fun was over then.

All in all, a good day. Tomorrow I will introduce you to cute boxer puppy number five!

I'm forever getting my mom to come look out the window too! It's usually a chipmunk though. We have so many squirrels that they don't even bother me anymore!

Love ya lots,
Maggie

Good work on getting your mom some exercise. Oh and no my dad doesn't have to wear a cone but he has these things they call crutches that give him two extra legs.

HA HA...That's a great trick. We do it to our Mom all the time. Usually it's the neighborhood alley cat that we bark at. It drives Mom crazy!

Good work guys!

I bark at the children playing football in the park outside. Mummy says I better get use to it or I'll be barking all summer.

Hey! We play that game with our dogmom, too! In fact, that looks like the same squirrel that lives outside our back door! Although the tree looks different... and there isn't a sidewalk back there... and ... oh well, maybe it's a different one. Dogmom said there's more than one.

Woo! Dude is a short-legged dog! Is he named after the guy in The Big Lebowski or is he just a Dude? Pretty awesome. Dakota reminds me of my friend Frodo in appearance and behavior (the 300-pound thing).

Dude seems a very fitting for a wee dachsund, I think. I used to know a cat name "The Dude." A very definite sort of name. I may begin calling my dog "The Sophie."

That was a good one.. Normally when we bark at the door, Mama will just yell at us to stop it. She knows us too well..
