Carter's Forever Home

Carter found his family today. He has had a great life for a rescue dog, and I think he will continue his lucky streak. He started with a great mom, Gidget, and a wonderful foster mom, Kathy. Then when he grew up a little, he got new foster parents to love him, Doug and Rhonda. He was also lucky enough to be born under the care of Legacy Boxer Rescue.

Now Mr. Lucky has a set of wonderful parents, fantastic grandparents, and even an uncle! I, of course, had to go over there to make sure everything went okay.

Everything was more than okay, except for the extreme embarassment I was forced to endure. Against my sound advice, the moms decided to take Dakota along with us. Dakota was a total SPAZ! She constantly insisted on having the hedgehog thrown for her. She used her sonic yip to control the humans. She squeaked the hedgehog so much I started to hope she would rip the squeaker out of him.

If that wasn't bad enough, she repeatedly dropped the hedgehog into the water bowl. Once it was wet, it got covered with grass, so the waterbowl got all grassy. Then she was hot, so she kept going in the house with her wet grassy feet, carrying the dripping grass-covered hedgehog. I'm surprised they didn't throw us all out!

It was quite a shameful scene. Luckily, the new family was overcome by my charm (little Carter's adorable puppy antics helped, too), so they overlooked Dakota's deplorable behavior. I rolled over for a belly rub to seal the deal, and the family called me a show dog, because I was showing it all! Yeah Carter!

You can't take her anywhere, can you? At least it was a good test for the new owners, ha ha. I'm glad Carter has a home now - he's going to be so spoiled!

Yea! We're happy that Carter has his forever home. That's the bestest news ever!

And we're very impressed that you allow pictures of yourownself getting belly rubs. Dogmom hasn't figured out how to do that... cuz she needs both hands to give us our belly rubs!

Thank you Cubby for being there for Carter and I. It was a very emotional day but having you AND Dakota helped a lot. My little monster man has gotten a great home!
