Anyway, they bought toy after toy that supposedly sang, but instead just played the music. Finally, we found one!
My former foster mom, Vasha, sent the moms a link to this snowman, so they bought it, figuring on another disappointment. But no! It was music to Dakota's ears! Happiness and light filled the house. The cool company also sent us a bonus toy - a cute squeaky dog named Lil Yelper that Gazoo took with him to his new foster home.
Naturally, not wanting to make the same mistake as last year, the moms quickly ordered 5 more snowmen. When the order came, not only did we get the five snowmen, but a bonus toy and a card for Dakota. She did not care much about the card, as you can see.
But the card said we got a bonus toy, and let the moms know they could replace the battery in the noisemaker. It also thanked the moms for supporting Legacy Boxer Rescue. This cool company sent a percentage of our orders to Legacy!
The bonus toy wasn't some little pittance, either. It was a Santa! He sings Santa Claus is Coming to Town!
So what is this cool company where you get cool toys and treats, great customer service, maybe bonus toys, personal notes, and you support animal rescue?
It's called Fur the Animals.

Cubby, you'e so lucky to have moms who want to ensure your happiness with squeeky sounds! My mom often tells me the story of the kitty who sang "Meow meow meow...." to the tune of "We Wish you a merry christmas." It was my predecessor's favorite toy. He carried it around, squeezed it until it sang, and then tilted his head as if he were hearing it for the first time. Ah, the simple pleasures.
