Kicking Hiney at Dude's House

Today we spent the day over at Cousin Dude's house. Dakota was acting like a total heathen, as usual. Here, she is standing on the back of Dude's couch. What is she thinking!?! She is a 90 pound lummox, not a tiny dachshund like Dude. She kept jumping on the couch, and then almost jumped on the table!

Dude's sister, Trina decided we could not come near her chair, but then our snowman went over there! What could we do? She is so scary! Dakota was terrified and couldn't take her eyes off Trina - she was paralyzed with fear, but I bravely grabbed the thing and ran!

Outside, things were much better. I was very tough, patrolling the yard. It is supposed to be Dude's job, but I like to help.

Then it happened. School let out, and the kids thought it was appropriate to walk right by Dude's fence! I had to tell them about it! This is my yard, kids!

They still didn't stop! They kept walking right by me and Dakota. They were scared, though. I could tell. I bet Dude won't see those kids again.

After dark, Dude's ancient doggy neighbor, Brittany, decided it was acceptable to poop in her own backyard. Dakota and I had to speak to her about that at length. She just ignored us. The nerve of that girl! Deafness is no excuse for a lack of respect, I tell you.
Now I'm going to sleep. I enjoyed my day, but I'm glad I don't have to work that hard all the time. Give me my couch with my dog bed on it, and I'm a happy boy!

No pictures of Dude? Mom is bummed. But you look very cool and we understand it was a busy day! Kids just don't respect authority these days. Hopefully, you were able to get through to them and Dude and Trina won't have to worry about them anymore.

Fun day but I hope you got lots of treats for working so hard.

It's tough keeping the yard safe from the little people. I'm sure you & Dakota are excellent patrol dogs!

Cubby, it is easy to see from those photographs that you are THE MAN! Great shots!
