While Dakota was busy swimming, getting out of the pool, finding someone to shake near, rolling in the rocks, and swimming again, this is what I was doing:
Yep, lying in the shade being hot. And if I got up, the herd of Yorkies would pour out the doggie door, barking. Then when the moms thought I looked hot, they would take me to THE HOSE. If you don't have a hose, don't get one. They hose me down with cool water, and then back to the hot shade. This is Texas, folks. It is hot in August. It was not a very fun day, but the moms say everything's not all about me.
I don't know where they got that information - it IS all about me! I am the important one - not Dakota!On the way out to the car, we saw this in Aunt Laura's tree!
Can you see that? Bees! Lots of bees! I love Aunt Laura, but I could not live over there. A terrible pool that is a Dakota playground, the hose, a herd of barking Yorkies, and a million bees! I am so glad to be home, but Dakota's still dreaming about swimming. She moves her little feet when she dreams!

Man, if you're so hot, then maybe you should try out the pool... It's much better than the hose, I tell ya!

Yikes, that sounds like a pretty miserable visit. Boxers don't like to swim and we don't well in the heat either, do we? Just give me a couch and an air conditioner and I can get through summer. You must be real glad to be home.

Well at least Dakota wore herself out so you had a peaceful day!
It is hot in Texas and a/c is better than a pool during the day. What was everyone thinking? Shade, pool, still 100!

I don't think we are made for swimming. I hate water too! My parents have a spray bottle filled with water (they call it the bottle of justice). They spray me when they say I am bad and I run away.

Swimming and water is EVIL!!!! so are BEES! I never met a yorkie but they live where the evil does, so I might speculate a bit about them!
We're with you Cubby. We don't like pools, the hose, yapping yorkies, or bees! Sorry you had such a rotten day!

Oh my goodness, Cubby....that doesn't sound like fun. Bees, hoses, swimming pools and heat. Everything I hate! I don't know how you stand it -- it's been hot here in Portland for the past 3 days, and I've been panting non-stop. I can't wait for winter.
