This week, we at Legacy Boxer Rescue got some very sad news. Many of you will remember Dora. She was originally found in a ditch in Arkansas. We think she had been hit by a car.
Dora had a dislocated hip and needed surgery. Legacy Boxer Rescue managed to raise the money for her surgery and heartworm treatment. Some of my wonderful blogger friends donated to help LBR raise those funds. The surgery was a success and Dora healed beautifully.
Dora waited about 8 months for her forever family. We weren't sure why it was taking so long. She was super sweet and very cute. Finally, we found out the reason. Dora was waiting for her family to find her, and they did.
Dora's family met her and knew right away that Dora was the dog for them. They adored her for 9 months. Then, this past weekend, Dora played around outside with her kids, came inside, plopped down on her bed, and died. It was discovered afterwards that she had an adrenal tumor that caused a heart attack. Her family is heartbroken and so is her Legacy family.
We all loved you and your silly ears, Dora. You will be missed by so many.

Poor sweet Dora. You just have to look at that little face and you can't help but adore her. At least she was so loved during her lifetime and that's what counts.
I want to make a donation. Please email me at chef.boxer@yahoo.ca.
Have a great weekend.

We are very sad to learn about Dora. At least she had the chance to be loved by a great family and they had the chance to be loved by her, even though it was too short.
God's Garden is now graced with another beautiful Angel. Our hearts break for her family left behind but how wonderful that she had them to love her unconditionally before she left for her wings
