Sad News

In the words of Pluto's wonderful foster mom, who loved him dearly:

"Some words are hard to say and these words are the hardest. At the very end of Pluto's surgery this morning he went into cardiac arrest. Despite the heroic efforts of the surgeon, the vet and his staff, they were not able to save Pluto. So not fair."

From Pluto:

"Thank you all for your wishes and for trying to give me the legacy that I deserved. Every ending is sad, no matter what. But my ending would have been even sadder if you had not tried and if we had never had the chance to sing our song together."

Thank you especially to Moco and Grammie for their extremely generous donation towards Pluto's care. We at Legacy Boxer Rescue are heartbroken that we lost this sweet young boxer, who was wishing on a star that he would get a new chance and a happy forever home someday.

That is so sad. We are glad he was loved at the end though.

We are so sorry! It just breaks my heart to see and read all these bad things.

To loved and lost is far better than never loved at all. We know that he is at peace at the Bridge and injury free. Play well, Pluto.
