Saying Goodbye

Cubby's mom here:

It's been a rough day. I hate to type this, but Cubby passed away today. He said to tell you all, thanks for the memories. He had a wonderful life with Dakota and his moms. We miss him terribly.

You have all been very supportive of his rescue efforts over the years. He thanks you for that. If you have a dollar or two to spare, please send a donation in his memory to Legacy Boxer Rescue.  http://www.savetheboxers.com/donate.php

He worked hard all these years, doing home visits, teaching people about boxers, and loving his mothers.

Rest in peace, little old man.  We'll never forget you.

Cubby, you were an awesome companion, blogger and a wonderful ambassador for the Boxer breed. You will be missed my many, but none will miss you more than your moms. They loved you so very much and my heart breaks for them tonight. Godspeed Cubby, I miss you already.

Run free beautiful boy, you have earned your angel wings :(

Such sad news - Cubby (and Dakota) was one of the original DWBers - and one of our first pals.

Take good care of yourselves - and Dakota - you are all in our thoughts.

Cubby, you taught me everything I know about being a boxer ambassador! LBR has a big hole in our hearts right now. We love and miss you, and we'll support your moms and Dakota in your place. Please look up my aunts Nina and Kaitlin at the Bridge, they'll show you all around.

I have an 11month old boxer and recently have been searching for Boxer blogs. I'm sorry I'm just now coming across this one. Cubby, looking through your blogs and reading all these comments I can say you were a great friend and companionship. You will be missed but we know you have had a great journey and I know you have made your way over the bridge. Again, I'm new to this blog but it's wonderful to see a great journey :) <3

Oh, Cubby... Don't know how we missed this, so so sorry for you loss. :( Feels like we've been friends for so long, and like good friends, we're not always so good at staying in touch. But we always felt that Cubby was there.

Thank you, Cubby, for all you did.

Peace.

I kind of loss touch with Cubby and missed this post. Just happened to think of him today, did a search and read this sad, sad, news. I am so sorry for your loss. Besides the dear friend he was to you, he was surely an icon for boxer rescue. So sad that he is gone.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose such a best friend. My good friend had to put down her dog today. Cleo was a fifteen year-old Bull Mastiff with a heart in proportion to her size. <3
